Barford Lakes and Tackle Shop Terms and Conditions
If you visit or shop at Barford Tackle you accept these conditions.
Ordering from Barford Tackle is easy:
- Find the item you require.
- Choose the colour/size, if applicable, by clicking on the drop down list to view the options, then clicking again on the one you require.
- Click the "Add to Basket" button.
- Wherever you are on Barford Tackle, you can add items to your basket in the same way.
- You can check the contents of your basket and the total cost at any time by clicking on the "Mini Basket" button.
- You can remove items from your basket or alter the quantity required at any time.
- Postage and packing costs will be shown in your shopping basket.
- Click the "Proceed to Checkout" button when you have finished shopping.
- Register to fill in the order details using the online form for delivery.
- Choose an online payment method - you will be transfered to their secure server to make payment.
You can also place an order by phone, fax or mail.
We accept Delta, JCB, Maestro, Mastercard, Solo, Visa, Electron and Switch.
All prices are correct at time of going to print but may be subject to change. All prices are quoted in £ Sterling (and are inclusive of VAT), unless otherwise specified.
Please inspect your goods on arrival – if you are unsatisfied in any way please contact us by telephone or email immediately.
Returned goods must be unused and in a saleable condition. Any packaging i.e. reel boxes must also be in the same condition as when received.
If you return goods because they were ordered incorrectly or if clothing does not fit you will pay the return postage costs. If you would like us to replace the goods with another size or colour, we will charge carriage on the replacement.
If you return an item because it was faulty when it was delivered, we will refund your postage costs for returning it to us. Please check with us before returning any goods as we will only refund the basic postage charge.
All goods must be returned within 30 days of receipt, in it's original condition with all the original packaging – for any reason.
For International Returns (i.e. from outside the EU), a Custom's Declaration stating that the goods are being returned, either for replacement or refund, must be included, with the shipment. We are unable to accept International returns without this correct documentation.
If you are not completely satisfied with the quality of our products please contact us immediately by telephone or email and we will be happy to provide you with a replacement.
All items are subject to the manufacturers guarantee (usually 12 months). All good sold comply with current legislation and consumers are reminded that these items and conditions do not affect you statutory rights.
All orders are delivered via a next day courier or by Royal Mail on smaller packages. If all products for your order are in stock we aim to send your order out within 24 hours of receipt of payment and definitely before 48 hours of your order. If we cannot dispatch an item (due to stock availability) we will contact you via email or telephone to discuss whether we hold your order over until that item is in stock or whether you wish to cancel the cost of that item and we will refund your account for that item or send you an alternative product.
The delivery charge is automatically added to your order and you will see the total amount you have to pay before you confirm the order. On most orders our standard postage and packaging is between £3.50 and £5.00. For heavier items the price is shown when you confirm the order. On orders over £100 (where the weight is not unusually heavy and priced separately) the postage is free of charge.
The risk of products shall pass to the customer on delivery once the products have been signed for.
Damaged or Faulty goods
In the unlikely event that your package arrives visibly damaged, under no circumstances should you accept delivery. However, should damage not be apparent on delivery please notify us immediately so that we can submit a claim without delay.
Tax Charges (VAT)
All the prices shown in our store include VAT @ 20%
Import duty or tax
Please note that if the delivery address given on an order is outside of the EU an import tax may be payable upon receipt of the goods. The amount payable depends on the destination and may be subject to change. These payments are the responsibility of the customer and we accept no liability for any payments which may be due. Orders placed from outside the UK will be subject to an additional postage charge which will be invoiced separately before the order is dispatched – we will take into consideration the £7.50 postage paid on the original invoice.

We use PayPal to process all online payments and all card details will be handled securely by them and you, the shopper and Barford Tackle will receive confirmation of the transaction.
